My favorite subject this semester was Ethnography Workshop. In this field we are taught how to do an ethnographic field work and represent it in a video or in a written work. The research topic was freely chosen, as well as the place where we would investigate it, giving us a week to be able to perform the terrain and based on that, begin our work. The subject is carried by 4 professors: America Valenzuela, Andre Menard, Hector Morales and Xotchil Inostroza. In classes we saw different ways of approaching ethnographic work: how to interview, how to select informants, work with archives, among other things. This subject works in conjunction with the Research Workshop, since some contents are deepened, but here the work was not so pleasant. My favorit expert in my field is Claude Levi-Strauss. He was a French anthropologist and ethnologist which introduced the structuralist approach in the social sciences. The most important works he has written was The Elementary Structures of Relationship, Sad Topical, The Wild Thought, The Mythological, among others. About the first book named he wrote about how families were organized,  explaining that according to his thought the kinship was based on alliances (marriage). Sad Tropics, in comparison, is about an ethnographic fieldwork carried out by him in Brazil between 1953 and 1939. On the third book named Levi-Strauss he explains that the supposed "primitive thought" uses the same structuring rules as the most modern of scientific thoughts. Finally, in The Mythological, analyzes over 4 volumes the significant elements of thousands of myths through all kinds of oppositions throughout the American continent. This photgraphy was taked this summer in February on Caleta Tortel, i was on trip with my family on South Austral Road. We start from Coyhaique and before 5 hours we arrived to Cochrane and we were there 3 days for mecanic troubles wiith the car, then we travel to Caleta tortel and then we visited the Dead island. Finally before that we arrived to Villa Ohiggins in 2 hours.  The photograpy shows Caleta Tortel and their bridges because the village dont have streets, and people who lives in this place needs boats to travel inside de village, is like a floating town. The weather in this place is very cold and rainy, it rains almost every day of the year. This picture was taked by a family friend called Felix, and i liked because i met new places with amazing nature with nice people. In this places i see many things related with my career that i did not know.

I have two dogs, their names are Princesa and Chocolo. They were rescued from streets, the first was Princesa in 2012 and after Chocolo in 2013. Princesa is so cute, her hair is brown, yellow and black and her eyes are like honey, physically is like a German sheperd but their ears are different. Chocolo is blonde, and his hiperactive and very happy. He is smaller than Princesa. When he was baby live inside my house, but when he growns up was to much big to be inside, and him broke the couch, and after that he has to live in the yard. My relationship with my pets are close, when im not in coyhaique i miss then, and when i come back they react happy. I love my pets. I like pets because is important having a animal friend to teach us true love, and because they are loyal and sincere.

My favorite piece of technology is an analog camera. I buy it in 2013 and this become to my favorite objet because take it beautiful pictures and have an aspect to classical, i love that. Normally i used it in vacation when i travel, this be once time a year in summer, but on important dates like birthdays or holidays i also used it, and liked to much because i don’t have to charge them to used it, i just have to buy a new film. In my opinion a camera is a great objet, very useful and a great tool for many professions actually. I think my life would be not too much different without the camera, but would not have many of the memories made a physical photo without them, that be the only thing i that would be surprise.

when i did the psu, i was very confused about what i'm gonna study, i have two options clearly: anthropology and philosophy. Those two careers weren't my childhood dream because when i'm little i wanna be a attorney but when a grown up i realize that was boring and to much dificult. Finally when my results arrived i feeling happy because i be accepted in anthropology and i will gonna be a investigator. At the present, university was be an experince full of new things, changes and new people, with an enviroment totally diferent of my home but no bad. The only thing was difficult was get used to the weather of the city. In the future, i would like to work in a lab with different kind of experiments.
